A little care keeps your jewellery looking its best for years.
The golden rules
- Last on, first off. Put jewellery on after makeup, perfume, and hair products — and take it off first.
- Keep it dry. Avoid water, sweat, and humidity. Remove pieces before bathing, swimming, or workouts.
- Store separately. Keep each piece in its pouch or a lined box so they don’t scratch one another.
- Wipe after wear. Gently buff with a soft, dry cloth to remove oils before storing.
What to avoid
Perfumes, lotions, sanitiser, and household chemicals can dull plating and stones. Never use abrasive cleaners or tissue (it scratches).
Reviving the shine
For light cleaning, use a soft brush with mild soap and lukewarm water, then pat fully dry. For oxidised pieces, avoid polishing away the intentional darkened finish.
